ExSSA Houston Impact Day
This is why the Houston chapter decided to volunteer at the Houston Food bank. Alongside several other volunteers, the ladies helped to sort, clean, package and seal food items that would be distributed to help end hunger and fight food insecurity in Southeast Texas.
The Houston Food bank employs 12 full-time workers and the rest of the work is done by volunteers. Today, ExSSA Houston was blessed to be part of something big. We helped sort and package over 11,000 pounds of food, which will in turn feed 9,408 people! The experience was fun and rewarding.
