National President – Prof. Joyce AshuntantangProf. Joyce Ashuntantang, fondly known as Dr. J, graduated from Saker Baptist College in 1983, leaving a legacy as a budding poet and actress. The celebrated Saker songbook still carries one of her juvenilia. She joined ExSSA USA in 2005 and since then has been a hardworking and passionate trailblazer of the association, serving variously as: Public Relations Officer, 2007-2011 Organizing Secretary, 2011-2013, Vice President, 2015-2017 and now, National President. A founding member of ExSSA USA’s Members at Large (MAL) chapter, Dr. J has also pioneered and served on several committees, including – the website, public relations, national scholarship, and the celebrated Dreamers Scholarship Committees. She has consistently leveraged her artistic talents and public relations skills by directing and hosting major association events. |

A graduate of universities on three continents, Dr. Ashuntantang received a B.A. in English with a minor in Theater Arts from the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon, multiple Master’s degrees from universities in the U.K., Cameroon, and the USA, and a Ph.D. in English/African Literature from the City University of New York, USA. She is an award-winning poet, actress, interdisciplinary scholar, life coach, and full professor of English at the University of Hartford. She is the author of many scholarly and creative publications and has appeared as an invited poet worldwide. Her poems have been translated into Spanish, Greek, Hebrew, Turkish, Bangla, Arabic, Romanian, and Portuguese.

National Vice President – Geraldine Essombe

Geraldine is an active volunteer in her Los Angeles community and a full-time soccer mom. She serves as a board member for the American Youth Soccer Organization Region 1031, volunteers in The Children’s Ministry at her local church, is a member of her children’s school PTA and an active member in the Cameroonian community in Los Angeles. More than half of her time is spent on the soccer field, cheering for her 3 kids’ teams and refereeing games. She enjoys traveling to different tournaments around the country with her family. On non-soccer seasons, you can catch her on a bike ride. |
National Secretary – Rosy-Belle BesongRosy-Belle Etta Mbu Besong is a dynamic member of two batches of Saker Baptist College, the Class of 2002 and the class of 2003, with whom she graduated. She joined ExSSA USA as a member of ExSSA Houston, serving as Secretary until her election as National Secretary. She earned an LLB with a minor in Political Science from the University of Yaoundé 2, Cameroon. Rosy-Belle lives in Houston with her husband and four daughters aged 18, 10, 6, and 5. |

National Financial Secretary – Fende EsemeFende Eseme graduated from Saker Baptist College in 1997 with an “O” Level GCE certificate. Since then, her passion for problem-solving has led her to a career in accounting, a field she has worked in since earning her degree from Kennesaw State University in GA. She is an active member of the EXSSA GA chapter, where she has served as the secretary and treasurer. She loves seeking new experiences, spending time with her family, and advocating for causes close to her heart. Fende’s desire to support the growth and stability of EXSSA -USA is a crucial reason why she chooses to volunteer her time and skills. |
National Chaplain – Adeline ViyuohI graduated from Saker in 1984 and completed my high school education in CCAST Bambili. After high school, I moved to Nigeria where I obtained a BSc in Physical Therapy. By the Grace of God, I moved to the US and graduated from medical school in 1996 from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I proceeded to complete residency program and practiced as a hospitalist for 10+ years, then transitioned to outpatient primary care where I continue to practice. My purpose for serving as a National Chaplain is to obey God’s call, partake in kingdom building with Him. Help ignite that fire in our members to taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalms 34:8); grow in love/do life together as sisters….making our association truly a place where love grows. My husband and I are blessed with three children. |

Chief Whip – Besem Ebai NgassaBesem Ebai Ngassa Esq. is graduating class of 1990, a.k.a WINNERS. She joined Exssa USA in 2018 as a member of Exssa Houston, serving as financial secretary from 2020-2022. Before ExSSA USA, she was an active EXSSA Douala, Cameroon member. Ebai-Ngassa, daughter of legal luminaries in Cameroon, earned an LL.B from UB, Cameroon, and a Master’s in Business Law from the University of Leeds, UK. She also trained at the iconic Nigeria Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos. A Managing Partner of Ebai Law firm, Limbe, She was called to the Bar in Cameroon and Nigeria. Currently works as a legal contracts and compliance Analyst in Houston, TX. |

Acting National Public Relations Officer – Dr. Helen Ayuk Ashuntantang ArreyDr. Helen Ayuk Ashuntantang Arrey is a member of the class of 1990 a.k.a Winners. She joined ExSSA USA in 2006 as a MAL member and later joined ExSSA Dallas in 2015. Before assuming the role of the National Public Relations officer, she was the Organizing secretary for ExSSA Dallas from 2017 to 2019. Helen is a trained Public Health Pharmacist and presently works as a Sr. Medical Science Liaison at bioMérieux. CEO of Emerald Delites, a fruit artistry company, she describes herself as a Scientist with an artistic flair. Branding ExSSA USA and Saker Baptist College is her dream. |
