ExSSA MN Brings Hope and Opportunity to the community-2025
On a crisp spring morning, 15 dedicated members of the Ex-SSA MN Chapter gathered at Source Minnesota Food Shelf in Downtown Minneapolis for a
meaningful day of service. Bundled up against the cool air, we arrived bright and early at 9:30 AM, ready to contribute to Source MN's noble mission: providing
food relief to families in need. The day started with a heartfelt moment of gratitude and prayer, setting an uplifting tone for the hours ahead. Divided into smaller teams, we got straight to
work. Some took to preparing newsletters for donors, ensuring supporters stayed informed and appreciated. Others were busy packaging food with care,
assembling bundles of hope for the community. Meanwhile, a third group braved the brisk outdoors, assisting with the efficient distribution of food to a line of cars
that stretched several blocks—each vehicle representing a household touched by Source MN’s generosity.
Time flew by as our hands (and mouths) stayed busy and spirits remained high. Before we knew it, it was time to say farewell to the wonderful team at
Source MN, but not without reflecting on the impact we had made together. The day didn’t end there. To celebrate a successful Impact Day, we headed to
Quang's restaurant, where we savored delicious Vietnamese cuisine and enjoyed each other's company. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with hard work,
sisterhood, and the joy of giving back. Impact Day for us was not just about lending a hand—it was about collective
action, a shared purpose and coming together as a chapter to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. It was Love, Unity and Sisterhood.
